A major two-day religious and organisational gathering is being prepared at the Baishrashi Bishwa Zaker Manzil in Sadar upazila of Faridpur to mark Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) and the 37th anniversary of the Zaker Party. In an invitation signed by the party’s Secretary General, Shamim Haider, organisers have called on devout Muslims as well as peace-loving people from other religious communities to attend the programme. According to the invitation, organisers expect the event to draw millions of peaceful and devout Muslims along with people from other faiths, potentially turning the Baishrashi Bishwa Zaker Manzil into a major religious and social gathering on August 25 and 26.
According to the announced programme, the first session will begin after Tuesday evening prayers on August 25. It will include voluntary prayers and prescribed devotional practices following Maghrib, Isha prayers, a Milad gathering and a special prayer. Religious discussions and sermons are also scheduled on the significance of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), the humanitarian and inclusive teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and the sacrifices, spiritual practices and ideals associated with World Wali Hazrat Maulana Khwaja Faridpuri (RA). The organisers have also indicated that arrangements will be made for dinner for participants.
The second session will begin on Wednesday morning, August 26. The programme includes speeches by Zaker Party leaders and invited guests, followed by the raising of the national flag, the party flag and flags of affiliated organisations. Balloons and pigeons are also scheduled to be released as part of the formal proceedings. The invitation lists addresses by Zaker Party Secretary General Shamim Haider, Senior Vice Chairman Dr. Sayem Amir Faisal Mujaddedi and Chairman Mostafa Amir Faisal Mujaddedi.
The programme will conclude with a visit to the sacred shrine of the party’s founder, World Wali Hazrat Maulana Shah Sufi Khwaja Faridpuri (RA). Organisers say the gathering is intended to be conducted in an atmosphere of religious devotion and spiritual reflection, while promoting humanitarian values and a message of peace. Their invitation to people from different social, professional and religious backgrounds is also being presented as an appeal for broader social harmony and peaceful coexistence.
Organisers expect large numbers of people from different parts of Bangladesh to gather at the Baishrashi Bishwa Zaker Manzil, observe the religious significance of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), and carry messages of peace, humanity and mutual harmony beyond the venue. They say the participation of devout Muslims alongside peace-loving people from other religious communities could broaden the character of the gathering and turn it into a significant expression of religious coexistence and social solidarity.
The event comes within Bangladesh’s long tradition of large-scale Milad gatherings, religious assemblies and spiritual programmes. By bringing the observance of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) together with the anniversary of the Zaker Party, the organisers are combining religious observance, spiritual reflection and organisational activities in a single programme. With the August 25-26 events approaching, attention will centre on the scale of public participation, the atmosphere at the venue and how widely the organisers’ stated messages of peace, humanity and communal harmony resonate among participants.
