FARIDPUR, Bangladesh, July 21 — Thousands of devotees from across Bangladesh and abroad have begun arriving at the World Zaker Manzil in Baishrashi, Sadarpur Upazila of Faridpur district, as the annual World Fateha Sharif commences on Tuesday evening to commemorate the 7th of Safar, the death anniversary of Zaker Party founder and revered spiritual leader Hazrat Maulana Shah Sufi Khwaja Faridpuri (RA).
According to the organizers, the religious observance will officially begin after the Maghrib prayer with six rak’ahs of voluntary (nafl) prayers, performed in sets of two, followed by Qur’an recitation, dhikr (remembrance of God), special supplications and Fateha. The programme will continue with visits to the revered shrine (Rawza Sharif) of Hazrat Khwaja Faridpuri (RA) and a series of spiritual gatherings and prayers.
The 7th of Safar holds deep spiritual significance for followers of Hazrat Khwaja Faridpuri (RA), who regard the day as one of remembrance, reflection and prayer. Every year, devotees gather to honour his legacy, remember his teachings and seek prayers for peace, unity and the well-being of humanity.
Organizers said large numbers of followers have already arrived at the Baishrashi World Zaker Manzil from different parts of Bangladesh as well as from overseas. Arrangements have been made to accommodate pilgrims, including food, lodging, medical assistance and volunteer services to facilitate the large gathering.
The organizers said Zaker Party Chairman Mostafa Amir Faisal and Senior Vice Chairman and economist Dr. Sayem Amir Faisal are expected to attend the programme as special guests, alongside senior party leaders, religious scholars and thousands of followers.
The annual World Fateha Sharif is regarded by followers as one of the largest religious gatherings associated with the spiritual legacy of Hazrat Khwaja Faridpuri (RA). The programme includes Qur’an recitation, religious sermons, dhikr, collective prayers and special supplications seeking peace, stability and prosperity for Bangladesh and the wider Muslim Ummah.
Organizers expressed hope that this year’s observance will conclude peacefully in a solemn atmosphere, reflecting the spiritual values and teachings associated with the late Sufi leader while bringing together devotees from different regions and countries in a shared act of remembrance and prayer.
Baisharashi Bishwa Zaker Manzil is crowded with followers from home and abroad on the occasion of the holy Bishwa Fateha Sharif.
