Faridpur, Bangladesh: The sacred occasion of Ashura was observed with profound religious devotion, worship, and remembrance of Allah at the World Zaker Manzil in Baishrashi, Sadarpur, Faridpur. Thousands of devotees, Zakers, faithful Muslims, and members of the Zaker Party from across Bangladesh and abroad participated, transforming the spiritual center into a remarkable gathering of faith and unity.
According to the official program, the two-day observance commenced on Thursday evening with a series of special religious activities. Throughout the night, participants engaged in voluntary prayers (Nafl Salah), recitation of the Holy Qur’an, Dhikr (remembrance of Allah), Islamic sermons, spiritual meditation (Muraqabah), Mushahadah, and discussions highlighting the supreme sacrifice of Imam Hussain (RA) and the timeless lessons of Karbala on the 10th of Muharram.
The atmosphere remained deeply spiritual as worshippers devoted themselves to seeking the pleasure of Almighty Allah. The night was marked by tranquility, devotion, and heartfelt remembrance of Allah.
Following the Jumu’ah prayer on Friday, the official Ashura program concluded with the visitation (Ziyarat) of the shrine of the founder of the Zaker Party, the renowned spiritual leader World Saint Shah Sufi Khwaja Baba Faridpuri (RA), followed by the recitation of Fatiha Sharif. Special prayers (Du’a and Munajat) were offered for peace and prosperity in Bangladesh, unity among the Muslim Ummah, and the well-being of humanity.
The event was attended by Mustafa Amir Faisal, Chairman of the Zaker Party, who addressed the gathering of devotees and party members. In his speech, he emphasized the true teachings of Islam, self-purification, moral values, service to humanity, unity, and the importance of building a peaceful society. Reflecting on the significance of Ashura, he urged Muslims to remain steadfast on the path of truth, justice, righteousness, and Taqwa (God-consciousness).
Organizers stated that thousands of participants from different districts of Bangladesh joined the observance peacefully and with great discipline, making this year’s Ashura program a dignified and spiritually uplifting occasion. Volunteers played a vital role in ensuring security, maintaining order, and preserving the sacred atmosphere throughout the event.
Ashura remains one of the most significant occasions in Islamic history, symbolizing sacrifice, patience, justice, and unwavering commitment to truth. Participants expressed that the program at the World Zaker Manzil strengthened their faith, inspired spiritual growth, and reinforced Islamic values in their lives.
