Military tensions between the United States and Iran have escalated further across the Middle East, with both sides exchanging strikes for a seventh consecutive night, raising fears of a broader regional conflict. According to the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), American forces launched a new wave of coordinated air and missile strikes targeting Iran’s military infrastructure under the direction of the U.S. President. The operation reportedly involved fighter aircraft, armed drones, naval assets, and precision-guided missiles aimed at surveillance facilities, military logistics centers, underground weapons depots, and naval capabilities that Washington says support Iran’s military operations. CENTCOM stated that the campaign against Iranian military assets remains ongoing and confirmed that naval measures to restrict Iran’s maritime activities around key ports are also being maintained. The United States further said that more than 50,000 American troops deployed across the Middle East remain on the highest level of operational readiness amid growing concerns over further escalation. Meanwhile, Iranian authorities have warned residents in the southern province of Hormozgan to avoid unnecessary travel as fears of additional attacks continue to mount. Iran’s Tasnim News Agency reported that officials are assessing damage to military and civilian infrastructure struck in recent attacks while emergency teams work to restore disrupted communications and essential services. Local authorities also claimed that at least three people were killed in the latest round of strikes. Elsewhere in the Gulf, Bahrain experienced another period of heightened alert after air raid sirens sounded for the second time within hours, prompting authorities to instruct residents to seek immediate shelter as regional security conditions continued to deteriorate. On the other side, Iran’s military claimed it had launched retaliatory drone attacks against several U.S. military facilities in Kuwait and Jordan. According to Tasnim, Iranian drones targeted ammunition depots, command headquarters, and associated military infrastructure at Camp Udairi and Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait. Tehran also claimed that a successful drone strike hit fuel storage facilities used by U.S. forces at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base, also known as Al Azraq Air Base, in Jordan. However, these claims have not been independently verified, and neither the United States nor the governments of Kuwait and Jordan immediately confirmed the reported attacks. Iranian military officials warned that any further action against the country would be met with a stronger and broader military response, reiterating that American forces and strategic assets across the region remain within Iran’s operational reach. Security analysts say the continuing exchange of air, missile, and drone attacks has significantly increased the risk of a wider regional war involving multiple Middle Eastern states, threatening critical shipping routes, energy infrastructure, and global oil supplies. With diplomatic efforts showing little sign of reducing tensions, concerns continue to grow that the confrontation could evolve into one of the most dangerous military crises in the region in recent years. Many of the battlefield claims made by both Washington and Tehran remain based on official statements from the respective sides and have not been independently verified.
